Grapht Works – Imperial
Project
RareKind was commissioned as part of the rebrand and transformation of Grapht Works, formerly the Victoria Road Industrial Estate in North Acton, West London.
The brief was to develop a bold and functional wayfinding system that supported the estate’s new identity while improving navigation and visibility across the site. The existing environment lacked consistency and clear directional guidance for occupiers, visitors and delivery drivers moving through the estate.
RareKind designed and produced a series of large-scale unit numbers, directional graphics and custom road markings that integrated directly into the wider rebrand of Grapht Works.
Process
Working alongside the wider repositioning of Grapht Works, RareKind developed a graphic wayfinding approach that combined clarity, movement and strong visual impact.
Large-scale unit numbers were designed to be clearly visible from distance and while moving through the estate by vehicle. The typography was paired with custom directional graphics and road markings to create a connected visual language across the site.
A bold colour palette and simplified graphic forms helped reinforce the new identity of Grapht Works while improving pedestrian awareness and navigation throughout the estate. Blue pedestrian walkways and crossing graphics introduced a more considered and visually engaging experience within the industrial environment.
All artwork and markings were carefully mapped, scaled and produced on-site by the RareKind team.
Outcome
The completed project helped establish a clear and recognisable visual identity for Grapht Works while improving navigation and overall user experience across the estate.
Oversized unit numbers and custom environmental graphics transformed previously overlooked surfaces into part of the site’s wider branding and placemaking strategy. The intervention created a more contemporary and cohesive environment for tenants, visitors and businesses operating within the estate.
The project reflects RareKind’s approach to combining environmental graphics, typography and practical wayfinding within commercial and industrial spaces.
