LN2 at Imperial Collage
Project
The LN2 Café at Imperial College’s I-Hub in White City needed a standout visual identity that would resonate with the scientific community and activate the space through bold, contemporary art.
Process
RareKind founder David Samuel designed and painted a bespoke mural that responded directly to the café’s scientific setting. His signature interlocking shapes were infused with a cool, crisp palette that nodded to the properties of LN2 gas. The artwork spans 5×5.5m across the main wall, flowing seamlessly onto an adjacent surface and complemented by a striking 5.5×1.6m vertical pillar.
Outcome
The mural transformed the café into a dynamic focal point for the campus, capturing both the creative and scientific spirit of the space. The design provides an energising visual language that enhances the café’s role as a hub for conversation, collaboration, and discovery.
